Dear friends,
When we set out 11 years ago to create the first global community of interim executives, it was hard (ok, impossible) to see how this would evolve.
We are happy to report that the experiment worked. A thriving business has grown up, thanks to a wonderful core group of executives we call the RED team (rapid executive deployment).
One of our discoveries, a strategic byproduct, was the power of connection. We knew from personal experience that while being a superstar for clients is rewarding, it was still possible to miss the connection with kindred spirits. Being the hero for clients can be lonely back in the home office. So without really knowing why we were doing it, we hosted our first RED conference years go and something really good happened. We got to know each other. We built relationships, became trusted advisors to each other, and shared in the brainpower and experiences we each bring with us from years working to help grow and turnaround businesses of all shapes and sizes. We’ve heard from you loud and clear that these connections are meaningful.
So we have decided to host RED 4 in May of 2019 and if you are receiving this invitation, you should know it means we think highly of you. You are either someone we’ve known and worked with for years, or someone we’ve met more recently and want to get to know better, and who we think the RED veterans will want to meet.
We will be meeting at the headquarters of William Blair for the ONE time each year (or two years) when we gather to brainstorm, celebrate each other’s victories, share some secrets and best practices, and develop new ways to drive forward in both our individual practices and more importantly in our collaborations.
We will be meeting for about a day and a half, with an optional event upfront: the Cubs play the Cardinals at Wrigley Field on Sunday afternoon. We will be reserving a Cubs rooftop overlooking Wrigley Field. There is limited availability and the ticket price is optional and not included in the regular event registration fee (you’ll see the additional charge on the registration page online). If you would like to join us please let us know soon; if not, no worries, we’ll start bright and early on Monday morning.

MONDAY, MAY 6
Day 1: 8:00am – 4:00pm (Breakfast at 8:30am, Program starts at 9:00am)
It is time to get in sync: leader to leader, we share in how to have big impact in for-profit and non-profit organizations around the globe. Interim is not just about timing, but more so about the mindset needed to bring transformation to an organization. We don't just babysit or keep the seat warm. We are held accountable for big results.
RED4 is a space for you to make powerful connections leading to bigger and bigger opportunities. Through panels, speakers, and small group discussions we will explore challenges in leading companies whether troubled, ramping up, or fast growing. Learn best practices from other executives and discuss how to create more opportunity in your career and in the companies you parachute in to. Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be served.
Day 1 Dinner Breakouts (Optional): 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Location: Various restaurants
For those interested, we will be coordinating small groups of executives dining at various local (great) restaurants. This is an opportunity to shrae more with a smaller group. Cost of dinner is not included in registration cost.
TUESDAY, MAY 2
Day 2: 8:00am - 11:30am (Breakfast at 8:30am, program starts at 9am)
On day two we will present real-world discussions with private equity funds, investors, and owners who have used interim executive leadership in their businesses.

Cubs Game Rooftop: 1:00pm – 4:30pm
Location: Wrigley Field, IL (if you purchase this ticket, meetings details will be provided via email)
Kick off the 2-day conference with an optional event Sunday. We will be buying a block of tickets at one of the Cubs-owned rooftops overlooking Wrigley field. Meet up and informally meet executives before we jump into the meeting Monday morning. All food and drinks provided as part of your ticket.
